I wanted somewhere to post radio stuff I think up so I figured here. I'm doing a volunteer show on CJ 106 again so I've been thinking of stuff to do on there.
I've written 2 things for it so far. I'm not sure either of them are actually gonna be made or have anything done with them but I'm gonna keep writing things at least. I'm not good for finishing things because I can't really voice things myself. I can't do differing voices and there isn't anyone else around. I could roughly throw something together if I really wanted to. My roommate has a recording setup in the basement with a mic and audition. Right now I'm just playing songs and audio clips from interviews or documentaries.
Here are the first two things I wrote, the first one is a shot at Oscars and has been worked over a little bit and the second one I just wrote today as an amusing aside about what I'm sure at least one person in TV would think of when reading the same story.
Start: typical award show-like music plays
Person 1: We’re back at Hollywood’s biggest night, the stars are out tonight Bill.
Person 2: That’s always been one of my favourite things about this event Jim- Hard-working multi-millionaires taking time out of their busy schedules to have a big party about how good they all are.
Person 1: Still to come, the ‘James Cameron Overrated’ award as well as ‘Best Studio Cash Grab.’
Person 2: Highly competitive category there Jim.
Person 1: I for one am really looking forward to the ‘Academy Snubbing of the Year’
Person 2: That’s a great part of the evening. (laughs) Losers.
Person 1: Seeing as how we’re only 10 minutes overtime right now, let’s cut to some video package time filler. Here’s a fake account of how the winners are determined.
Person 1: We’ll be back in half an hour with the ‘We decided these films would be Best Picture nominees 4 months before they came out and systemically overhyped them’ award.

Reverend: tsk tsk (or some sound, ya know clucking your tongue etc.) Thou shall not lie.
Evil dude: …Soul Boarders!
Musical sting, 70’s-ish kinda Shaft or buddy cop sounding.
Evil dude: You’ll never take me down Kickflip!
Reverend: Almighty God may have final judgment on you… but I’m one first. Let’s Grind!

I may post some breaks from the show too just to see what people think. More than just my own opinion is always good.
